International Development Cooperation (taught in ITALIAN)

The course offers a comprehensive overview of the history of International Cooperation, combining the precise historical, economic, political, religious, and social factors that have led to the emergence of the main actors in this field and analyzing their features within the international development cooperation, their modus operandi, their potential and the structural constraints to which they are subject. Part of the course will be devoted to analyzing the structural elements of international cooperation such as the motivations, the approaches, the different types of existing projects, the financing channels, the funds allocated to international cooperation, the different political strategies, and the techniques in preparation for the implementation of international cooperation projects. In addition a description of the evolution of the concept of development will be added, an essential element in order to understand the cultural, economic and political underpinning of international cooperation projects. Finally, the main ways to enter the world of cooperation will be analyzed.
