English for Academic Purposes
The programme is designed for students who are non-native speakers of English, who need to improve their language skills and who want to find out more about the use of English in academic study as well as the expectations of academic life in the UK.
The pre-sessional course will be taught by highly experienced, well-qualified ESOL staff who look forward to meeting you and introducing you to the new UHI campus.

Course aim
The course aims to:
- help you to develop your English language skills ahead of starting your course at the university,
- help you to develop the necessary cultural and study skills for effective learning through the medium of English,
- help you to settle into the British academic environment before starting your programme of academic study at the University and the College.
Fee info
GBP 310: Fee: £155/week tuition (total £310)+ £30 study books. The fee covers: 15 hrs/week classroom study, certificate of completion, Ceilidh dance
