Summer School 2015 Jews of Poland: History, Culture, and Memory is organized by the Centre for European Studies at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland, together with the Auschwitz Jewish Center and the Museum of Jewish Heritage, NY. It is open to young professionals and students interested in and motivated to expand their knowledge of the complex history of Jews in Europe.
The programme offers an in-depth study of Polish-Jewish history, as well as the history of the Holocaust. It also includes site visits, study tours to Auschwitz as well as academic discussions. The Jewish Culture Festival, June 22th - July 8, 2015 is integrated into the curriculum of the Summer School. Participants of the summer school will be able to enjoy local tours blended into the unique cultural and social life of Krakow.
