The program consists of 5 full days with educational activities, workshops and interactive lectures by experts on a variety of different Global Health topics:

Access and right to health
Infectious diseases
Non-communicable diseases
Reproductive health
Mental health
Cultural dimensions of medicine
On top of the educational programme, there will also be organized fun activities to socialize and build a international network.

The Summer School will provide you with a great opportunity to meet new people from all over the world with whom you will share your common interest and knowledge of Global Health. Do not miss such once-in-a-lifetime experience!

Undergraduate (bio)medical students with a special interest in global health

Course aim

After this course you will be able to:

1. identify current problems in international healthcare and elaborate on these in the context of one’s own country

2. formulate solutions to global health care problems on a small scale

3. elaborate on important global health topics, such as access to care, infectious disease, reproductive health and mental health care

Upon successful completion of the programme, the Summer School offers a Certificate of Attendance that mentions the workload of 56 hours (28 hours corresponds to 1 ECTS). Students can apply for recognition of these credits to the relevant authorities in their home institutions, therefore the final decision on awarding credits is at the discretion of their home institutions. We will be happy to provide any necessary information that might be requested in addition to the certificate of attendance.

Fee info

EUR 725: this includes for 10 days: accomodation, lunch, socials, dinner (6 days) and the educational program.
