The theme of this Summer School is: Cognitive Control and Consciousness: Behavioural and Neural Mechanisms. We have invited four internationally recognized experts in the field of Cognition, Learning, and Memory to be our keynote speakers. They will present their work on research on consciousness and self-control, including research findings, considerations about research methodologies, and implications for practice.

The keynote speakers are:
Prof. Dr. Todd Braver, Washington University, USA. Prof. Braver will give keynotes on ‘The brain basis of cognitive control’ and ‘Flexible neural mechanisms of cognitive control’.
Dr. Adriana Galván, Associate Professor at the University of California, Los Angeles, USA. She will give keynotes on ‘Neural correlates of learning in the adolescent brain’ and ‘Developmental changes in cognitive control: Insights from fMRI’.
Prof. Dr. Christopher Moulin, University of Grenoble, France. He will give keynotes on ‘What does déjà vu tell us about cognitive control and consciousness?’ and ‘Metamemory in Alzheimer’s disease: Control and monitoring’.
Prof. Dr. Brandon Schmeichel, Texas A&M University, USA. Prof. Schmeichel’s keynotes cover ‘Executive functioning and the self-regulation of emotion’ and ‘Motivational consequences of self-control’.

Participation in this Summer School requires active participation in scientific discussions, peer-review sessions, PhD-research presentations, and networking activities. All participants are required to present their research, they can choose between giving a poster, paper, or peer-review presentation.
