One of the most important goals in commercial marketing and digital presentation is to make the client experience as functional and user-friendly as possible. In this course, you will use various tools, such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript to improve the quality of websites or web applications. You will gain both theoretical knowledge and practical experience in enhancing accessibility, responsiveness, functionality and performance of selected websites and applications.

The main objective of this course is to introduce you to the tools, principles and methods for developing and maintaining web pages.

You will learn techniques such as:

Planning web based communication
Using web technologies HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP to make simple solutions.
Including “free” libraries and services in web solutions with an understanding of the pros and cons

Tomas Blaha

Tomas is currently studying at University of Economics in Prague and he is working as a web developer since 2013. He has already worked at various projects and also doing freelance work. He has co-founded a digital agency Friendly Studio.

Target group

Young professionals and university students with intermediary level of English, interest in creating web solutions for web.

Course aim

Design and plan a simple web solution

COURSE OUTLINE
The student will gain knowledge about:

The internet and how it is used for world wide web solutions
Central web terminology
Different tools for web development
The student will learn to:

To enter into a partnership with, for example, programmers and other professionals to develop web solutions
To develop concepts in a problem-orientated approach
Using web technologies for communication and business

Credits info

5 EC
You will receive an official Certificate of Attendance upon completion of your course which you may use to show evidence of the skills you have learnt during the course and have the credits accepted by your home university.

Fee info

EUR 650: All courses take place in a new building of French Institute right in the center of Prague.
EUR 210: Accommodation fee for a 14night stay at Botic Student House starts at 15 EUR/night.

Everyday afternoon or evening activities organized - sports, weekend trips, city tours, sightseeings, parties etc.
