Summer Music Academy Sinaia is an annual program addressed to the musicians aged 10 to 30. Through its master-classes, workshops and concerts the Academy offers young musicians the extraordinary opportunity to participate at an international seminar of instrumental training of highest standards during a period of 2 weeks.

In 2017 SMAS offers master-classes for: violin and flute.
Starting 2017 it will include a JAZZ section.

During the Academy the students will benefit of:
- customized training
- 5 individual masterclass x 50 minutes/each with the chosen professor
- professional guidance in accordance with the desired goals
- rehearsals with pianist
- improving the technique and interpretation
- transforming theoretical knowledge into good performing acts
- daily rehearsals | hours of study assisted by the professor
- networking, intercultural experience and intercultural exchange
- performance in ensembles
- participating in public concerts

Summer Music Academy Sinaia invites you to live, for a few days, in Sinaia’s everlasting present, enjoying musical chords, away from the city buzz. Peles Castle, The Royal Park, The Catholic Church and Sinaia Casino Centre are the chosen locations to underline the fairy tale atmosphere.

Target groups:
Participants: musicians age between 10-30 years ( exceptions may be permitted ) of any nationality and all levels:
- Child: beginner – intermediate – advanced
- Adult: beginner – intermediate – advanced
- Professional player – Student teacher – Professional teacher

Course aim

The Academy aims are:

- enhancing the young artists’musical knowledge and performance skills under the direction of professors and professional musicians of outstanding international reputation

- experiencing various methods of teaching and learning music

- stimulating the interpretative capacity of young artists

- intercultural communication between participants from different countries, the academy being a pleasant way of meeting and interacting with fellow musicians from the international network

Fee info

EUR 970: The fee is 970 Eur. It covers:
- all master-classes
- services of a piano accompanist
- public concert performance
- hotel accommodation for 2 weeks
- 3 meals / day
- airport transfer Bucharest-Sinaia and return
- access to all Academy’s activities: courses, concerts, cultural program, evening activities
